Great spot near the river with large open campsites. Camped for two days in the middle of winter and only saw one other person who was camping further along the river. Long-drops clean.
Amazing spot with a nice creek but no reception 🤘🏽
Great spot. Almost don’t want to tell people about it. Fire pits all over the place to set up camp around. The river is rocky with plenty of places to submerge into on a hot day. I didn’t brave the drop toilets as we have an en-suite, but the boys did. One was out of order, the other was ok until someone was sick all over it!!! There are 2 sets of toilets at either ends of the camp site. Absolutely zero Optus reception and limited Telstra. Closest shop in Thornton has limited supplies, but has a cafe with fresh bread, cakes and other baked goods. There is also a fish n chip shop in Thornton, plus a hotel bar. Not much else.
