We went into the Kosciuszko National Park over the New Year break (summer). Was relatively busy, but plenty of space at this campground. On the bank of a large river going through the snowy mountains. Water is pure, but cold! There were quite a few flies and possums at night in the summer. Campsite itself is accessible by 2wd and camper trailers or caravans. There is one toilet block with two toilets. The ranger checks on these and cleans etc. Bring your own drinking water and firewood (subject to restrictions). It is free, however park fees can be pricey depending on the time of year. Highly recommend!
