Worst experience ever. Stayed here a number of times in the past and normally recommend this park to others Not any more. Arrived here in good spirits looking forward to a relaxing soak in the various hot pools. We arrived and witness a patron having a discussion regarding a drive through powered site booking they made a couple of weeks ago. A staff member advised that a mistake had been made and that there were no drive through sites available. They would need to unhook. The lady had a broken arm and was in no position to help her husband. The staff member said that she was sorry but nothing she could do so if you don’t want the site offered go somewhere else!! The couple tried to reason with her regarding the wife’s inability to assist. No assistance was offered to help them so they choose to keep travelling after being told again that if they didn’t like it don’t stay. I was rather shocked by this and was thinking myself lucky that I had booked two drive through sites in advance for myself and our friends. That was soon to change. The sites allocated were not drive through sites and when we went back to the reception to get it corrected we were told that a mistake had been made and we could have a refund if we did not wish to stay. So I’m in the middle of nowhere with an unsuitable site ( Toyota Coaster motor home towing a Suzuki 4x4) being told that they only have 4 drive through sites and the new staff member made a mistake. Happy to give us a refund and find yourself somewhere else to stay. What I heard was stiff bickies if you don’t like it “on you go”!! They really have you at their mercy as it’s late in the day and not familiar with the area so where is one to go?? After seeing someone else being told the same thing, get what your given and don’t be upset others wise on you go. I expressed quite firmly how unhappy I was with the training of their staff. Considering they only have 4 drive through sites it’s not rocket science for a new staff member to get such an easy booking correct. After talking (well more like grumbling) amongst ourselves we decided to unhook and stay. To top it all off, us ladies went to have a shower this morning at 7am and there was no hot water or pressure in one cubical, the second cubicle the cold water tape was broken so limited cold water and too much hot water, which is better than the third cubical that is not operational. 😤 I wish we had have remembered the camping site (Pinnarendi Station) which is only an hour south. It would have been much better then staying here especially since the pub is closed due to it being up for sale. So this is just a share of an unfortunate experience and the lack of customer service which we witnessed and experienced. In short if you can stay somewhere else do it.

Incredible. Not for families or backpackers, better for couples or Retirees. Quiet, pristine and historic. Bev at the pub is a Gem, get a photo putting money on one of the bras above the bar!

Tiny town famous for its hot springs of Nettle Creek. You can stop and soak in the creek without any cost but we decided to stay next door at the caravan park, where they have a number of mineral poo... Read more
