We drove in thinking this would be a nice campsite as it was on the travel Victoria website we paid $20 drove in assessed the houso area and realised it was more of a trailer park, saw a drug deal in the 2 minutes we sat in the carpark and asked for our money and left

Very basic site but great for a cheap overnight stay close (20 minutes) to Melbourne. Do not be put of by the other comment. Yes, this is more of a ‘trailer park’ than a caravan site but everyone seemed friendly and we had no issues. $10 p/p p/n for an unpowered van site. Clean toilets, good showers, washing machines, dryers, washing line, BBQ areas with benches. The site is very tight so not suitable for a big rig but we had no major issues with our high roof LWB Sprinter.

If you stay here beware. I have not, however I live nearby and pass by frequently. This is not a caravan park as such, this is low end accomodation for the detritus of society. With a 24 hr MacDonalds next door and Laverton market (where last weeks burglary is this weeks bargain) on the other side on weekends, there will be entertainment in spades. If you get bored there is a pub across the road.
