Great low cost campsite, great low dust shell grit campsites, open air warm shower during the day but goes cold at nite, abundant washing water, stopped for a couple of nights, stayed a month?

Low cost camp, approx 6 km off main road. Toilets and a unique shower but no drinking water. About 200 caravans and campers cant be wrong as tbey‘re spread out along the beach for 1-2km. Entrance dIrectly opposite Yaringa Station. Stop for a day and stay a week

Question:

Hi how do we pay on line looking at coming over xmas for 2nights ?

Answer:

I don't think you can. It was all cash when we were there in July. Don't think you can book, it's a fi d a spit and go for it. Having said that it was very busy due to the internal borders opening recently and you will still find a space. Enjoy. by Sarah M.

Thank you very much by Blair W.

Question:

Is it accessible by 2WD campervan and how many hours to Carnarvon from there ?

Answer:

Yes road suitable 2WD bit rutted in places. Massive camping area you can park right up on beach. Artesian shower and flushing toilets. Cheap $15 pp our first time here and staying 3 nights by Martyn P.

Answer:

If it has rained heavily it might be quite difficult to get into. The road gas dips so water will become like large puddles. It is about 160 kms to Carnarvon on good tarmac road. Make sure you take a lot for water for drinking, there no capacity at gladstone. You can fill up in Carnarvon just as you enter town from the south. by Sarah M.
