Amazing 3.5hr paddle by kayak to the campsite from Brooklyn. Beautiful sunset lookout from the boat dock, fire pits and clean toilets, plus a nearby trail to hike to a beautiful lookout over the Hawkesbury River - this campsite ticks all the boxes. FYI- no mobile reception!

Question:

Can you drive up in your own boat?

Answer:

Possibly. Its right in the interior of the Hawkesbury, so it’s shallow and not consistently filled. It would be a gamble if you couldn’t gauge water depth ahead of time. But it might be possible with intel and planning. by Nikola S.

Answer:

Sorry, was thinking about another spot! Yes, you can easily access Gentleman’s Halt by boat (and I recommend it unless you want a 9.5km trek in!). by Nikola S.

Can u drive to the campsite and are there more than one campsite ?

Answer:

No, it’s a remote site and you’ll have to walk in. The space is one campsite but you can find a bit of privacy if there are other campers. by Nikola S.
