Let's be real - it's a wasteland. It served its purpose and it's free, but if Coober Pedy had a site with even bore water then this would get 1 star only. We had to stay here recently as Covid restrictions meant we could not use a caravan park in town. No toilet.
Open area outside of town, no one around but lots of broken glass and people have used bushes as a toilet so fine for an overnight camp but wouldn’t want to stay longer.
Just a flat area off the side of the highway. Good as it’s the only free camp in the area. Had no issues staying one night
Bare bones site, a few fire pits around, but very peaceful. Perfect for stop over
