Online booking is ridiculous. Many of the campsites booked but unoccupied. Because those unable to come do not cancel!! No reception. Paying for a day pass is a joke. No reception whatsoever even with Telstra- so don’t believe anyone who tells you otherwise. Unless rangers stop you, you can do whatever you like up there. Otherwise you have the perfect excuse- no freaking reception.

Absolutely amazing. Campground is in short distances to all the sites of attractions. Gets very busy although the campground we stayed in was meant to be booked out but was half full the whole 5 nights there. Recommend staying outside of school holidays or you'll never get to swim in the pools. Never spoke to camp hosts but the Ranger was lovely.

For sight seeing it doesnt get any better...karijini is absolute beautiful and up there with one of the most beautiful places i have seen in australia and a must see place...the dales gorge campground itself is very very basic and you have to be very sufficient...they do have toilets but there are no bbq areas or showers unless you bring your own... you can drive 40 mins back down the road for a shower which will cost $2 per person...you will need solar panels to run your engels or other necessary equipment as you can only run a generator for i think 4 hours im pretty shore out of the day...there is the karijini eco resort further down from dales which has does better amenities for those that do need it but it does come with a cost...dales i found for the little cost was perfect for us its closer to the better gorges i found and also walking distance to some of the most spectacular views you will ever see... See you again in 7 weeks karijini ?
