• Free camp near the municipal pool which entrance is very affordable (around $5 per person) • Sandy ground • Clean toilets • Electricity available, but it’s payable • Drinking water on site, though the taste isn’t great • Clean showers – it says $5 for 5 minutes of hot water, but if you don’t turn it off, you can use more without being charged • Shady area under trees • Lots of cockatoos, which can be very noisy, even at night • Barbecues available • Playground for kids It’s a nice and affordable spot for a short stay, though it can be noisy with all the birds!

Coonalpyn is a convenient campsite off the main road. The campground is set up for easy pay methods with a card or mobile wallet. clean toilet and shower block.cold showers are free, hot showers are 5. very nice swimming pool in the park, for afternoon swimming. powered campsites are available and paid for with a card at the site. very nicely set up.

Stayed here for a night in the free camping area. Was greeted by a gent who came out of his van, who I believe might be the park manager. Was told that free camping was over the other side of the park. I might have used the powered site for the night and paid, which would help a small towns income, but camped in the free section. If people are trying to help small towns, some politeness by the manager would go a long way to help the town. Toilets / showers were clean and newish. Congrats to the town on that behalf. Short walk to the pub- great meals, cold beers and a welcoming environment by staff and community.
