Loved our stay at Cockatoo Lake. Plenty of space to find a spot and facilities were clean and worked well.
Come to this place when our mount gambier trip was cut short due to covid, although the lake is fairly dry currently is a very beautiful place and would love to see it when the lake is full. Just a few minor issues with it being dry there was a car driving and drifting around the dry lake bed throughout our stay. Also some areas of the lawned area dug up where it’s obvious someone had got bogged, however we had no issues with getting bogged
Great overnight stop ,not much wild life , nice and guiet
Lake is empty at the moment but lots of grass areas to camp. Clean toilet and running water for washing up. Few fire pits available and some logs to sit on.

Hey not sure if you ended up going but yes there is heaps of space there even in busy times of the year it is very spread out, sometimes a little busy around the toilet area as that's where most people setup camp by Lucus
