About 1 hours drive from Mackay where you will find yourself on the dirt track leading you to the smooth beach of Cape Palmerston National Park. It is a popular spot for day trippers to come. Lots of tracks that will take you to flat ground where you can pull up for the night. Most spots you will need a 4wd to get up into. Wonderful views from the camp spots. Amazing views from the lookout close by. Plently of different 4wd tracks to choose from. There is also easy tracks to get the campers/caravans through.
